Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you" - when you already have it with you.

Commentary

We can only give what we’ve been given – we can only give when we are able. But when the time comes, we should do it. We shouldn’t hem and haw, or make excuses. If you should give, don’t delay.
